Lewis A. Jones, MD

Dr. Jones joined Advanced Radiology following his position as a physician for Ingham Radiology Associates. He has earned a reputation for being committed to women’s health, with a focus on breast imaging and early detection of breast cancer. Essence Magazine and Detroit Monthly Magazine have featured him in articles and he has been regularly sought after as a medical expert on Detroit television stations. Volunteer activities include public speaking, consulting and seminar development for breast cancer awareness.

Clinical investigator activities include the Women’s Health Initiative among several other noteworthy projects. He also taught a Mammography/Breast Imaging rotation for radiology residents at Wayne State University where he has served as an Associate Clinical Professor.

Dr. Jones earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan. He then completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Providence Hospital where his was the Chief Resident, and then completed a Fellowship in Cross Sectional Breast Imaging at Henry Ford Hospital.

Dr. Jones is certified in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology and a member of the American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, Association of University Radiologists and the Society of Breast Imaging.
