Why do you want to work here? It’s a fun place to live! Kalamazoo is located midway between Chicago and Detroit and home to Western Michigan University.   Largely due to its college-town influence, Kalamazoo has a vibrant and progressive downtown with great eateries, eclectic shops and a nationally known craft beer industry.  With a rich and diverse community culture, Kalamazoo offers historic neighborhoods, outstanding museums and theatres, and many gorgeous lakes.  Kalamazoo is also only 35 miles from the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan.  Finally, if your kids are headed to college at some point, you should know about the Kalamazoo Promise!
