General Radiology & Fluoroscopy

General Radiology and Fluoroscopy primarily uses X-ray technology to diagnose disease and injury inside the body.

X-rays make up a large number of all imaging studies performed at our locations. These may include chest x rays, studies of the bones and joints, imaging of the spine and other studies.

Fluoroscopy is a special type of x ray imaging used for many types of imaging studies such as esophograms, upper GI series, barium enemas, cystograms and hystersalpingograms. Fluoroscopy can also be used to guide procedures such as arthrograms/joint injections, lumbar punctures and myelograms, and many others.

A General Radiologist provides services that encompass many different areas of radiology, and often at our regional hospital sites.

Our General Radiology team members are all board certified and many have advanced fellowship training.
