Internal Bleeding

Emergency Embolization

Treating internal bleeding with a minimally invasive procedure

Trauma can result in broken bones, damaged organs, or damaged blood vessels.

In the emergent aftermath of trauma, heavy bleeding can be life-threatening and stopping the bleeding becomes of urgent concern.

When the bleeding is near the skin, bleeding can be more easily targeted.

When the bleeding is deep in the body, an interventional radiologist may be called to stop the bleeding with a minimally invasive image-guided procedure.
